On March 31, 2026, Maureen Megibow from Living Voices delivered a powerful and engaging performance for Union City High School U.S. I, U.S. II, and World History students. Through her portrayals in "Through the Eyes of a Friend" and "The New American", Megibow brought history to life by embodying characters who experienced pivotal moments such as the Holocaust and the immigrant journey to the United States.

José Martí STEM Academy’s Nardos Teklu and Union City High School’s Juan Andres Marin Villafane were honored at the Hudson County Unsung Heroes Annual Awards Ceremony in recognition of their outstanding leadership, character, resilience, and dedication to their community.

The Marine Corps Junior ROTC (MCJROTC) program at Union City High School is a nationally recognized leadership program that helps students build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and responsibility.
