The Union City School District would like to congratulate our very own William Shapiro, the Director of Coaching for Union City Soccer Club on all his accomplishments. We wish him continued success. The young athletes of our City are lucky to have someone like him.

Jaivaneese Johnson is a Union City High School Senior. She is an aspiring singer and dreams of being on a Broadway stage one day. Jaivaneese entered an international competition called "Broadway World Next on Stage". She is representing Union City as the only nominee from Hudson County in the High School division among about 200 nominees.

The Union City High School Football Team completed its regular season by defeating Columbia High School to win the Freedom White Division Championship. The Soaring Eagles are now ranked #10 in New Jersey. They enter the state playoffs as the number 1 overall seed in Group 5.
