Science

The Science Department at Union City High school offers regular, honors and advanced level courses in Biology Chemistry and Physics as well as courses in elective fields of Forensic Science and Human Anatomy.

Our focus is to prepare students for careers in scientific research, advanced science, Engineering or health-related professions through rigorous academic course study and real world experiences.  We encourage placement in summer programs in scientific laboratory research that gives our students the advantage of doing hands-on research at a university laboratory under the supervision of a professor/researcher.

Students can also participate in medical courses and engineering programs at NJ Medical School and NJIT throughout the academic year. Within our scientific research program, our students are also granted the opportunity to participate and present their research at local, state and national symposia.
