Mathematics
The mission of the Union City High School Mathematics Department is to equip every student with the mathematical skills necessary to think critically about the world and navigate the complexities of the 21st century. Our curriculum, aligned with the New Jersey Learning Standards, is both rigorous and relevant, emphasizing real-world applications. Students have access to technologies that enhance and deepen their understanding of mathematics.
Our objective is to empower students to compute fluently and solve problems creatively and resourcefully. Union City High School offers the three core mathematics courses—Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2—along with a variety of electives designed to prepare students for post-secondary education. For more information about our course offerings, please refer to the Era of Excellence document located to the right of this page.
