Felix was nominated by Union City High School Dance Teacher Emma Russo and Dance New Jersey for Exceptional Artistry & Community Leadership in Dance.
Felix is a senior dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, and leader in our arts community here at Union City High School. He was awarded for his outstanding participation and leadership role as a part of the Union City High School Dance Company, Union City High School Drillettes Dance Team and assistant choreographer of our school's spring musical, CHICAGO.
His interdisciplinary dance-theater piece, HEAVEN, created in Mr. Anthony Gusevich's class, was also part of the submission process.
A special thank-you to all the administration here at Union City High School and the Union City Board of Education for being so supportive of the arts, as well as the teachers in the FAPA Department here at Union City High School who have helped to teach and mentor him along his path to artistic growth, including, but not limited to Mirtha Serret, Ryan Lewis, Cristen Pennello, Emma Russo, Anthony Gusevich, Jacquelyn Michaels, Tania Alvarez, Chris Curcio and Ariane Ryan.
The annual awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Patriot's Theatre at the War Memorial in Trenton, NJ, and will be live-streamed via YouTube, Facebook Live, and on the website at:
