Congratulations to the UCHS Girls Cross Country team for placing 2nd as a team at the Hudson County Championship meet on Saturday 10/31/2020. The team was led by Sr. Marisol Vasquez (2nd), Sr. Keyla Checo (15th), Jr. Ariatna Gonzalez (18th), Jr. Angelica Ocasio (20th), Sr Alicia Acosta (26th), and Sr. Tatiana Romero (30th).
Marisol Vasquez highlighted the event by running a personal best of 20:39 in the 5k race. This places her 4th among the fastest runners to ever compete for the Girls UCXC program. She finished 2nd overall as an individual, winning the Silver medal and making her the highest placing runner to ever run for UCXC (boys or girls).
The UCXC programs will compete at the NJSIAA Sectional Championship at Garret Mountain in Woodland Park, NJ on November 12th, 2020.
