Students from the UCHS Mock Trial Team took part in the Hudson County Mock Trial Tournament held at the Hudson County Court House in Jersey City. This 4-day tournament is designed to increase comprehension of the historical, ethical and philosophical basis of the American system of justice. In addition, it helps to demystify the operation of the law, court procedures and the legal system for the students. This simulation helps participants increase basic life and leadership skills such as listening, speaking, writing, reading and analyzing. This is the program's 17th year in existence under the supervision of the Teacher-Coach Mr. Matthew Malizia and has won the county championship in five of the last seven years.
