College Connection Program

Earn College Credits while in High School!

Do you want to earn college credits before you graduate high school?

At UCHS you have the opportunity to do just that!

Students accepted to the UCHS-SHRP program are given the opportunity to earn up to 16 college credits through UCHS’s partnership with Rutgers-SHRP.

Organizational Affiliation:

HSC Students become members of the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA). HOSA’s mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. It provides a unique program of student leadership development, motivation, and recognition.

Licensure Opportunities:

BLS Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation – Through the HSC students are trained in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

EMT Certification – Students enrolled in the Emergency and Clinical Care course have the opportunity to attend EMT school at Jersey City Medical Center, provided they meet the requirements and are at least 16 years of age.

  2. Rutgers Application – (see link above - UC Application to forms)
    • This application MUST be TYPED and signatures must be in BLUE or BLACK ink
  3. Recommendation – A recommendation letter from a math/science teacher or guidance counselor who is NOT related to the student is required – see link above - UC Application to forms.
  4. Current Transcript with GPA and Report Card.
