Paul Orbe, Union City High School Science Teacher at the Academy for Enrichment and Advancement was named one of the National Science Teachers Associations (NSTA) 2017 National Teacher Award Winner.
The program honors and awards science teacher, k-12 teachers, professors, and principals in recognition or their achievement and extraordinary work in science education. Mr. Orbe was presented with his award at a ceremony and banquet on the 31st of March at the NTSA National Conference on Science Education in Los Angeles, California.
"These teachers and science education professionals have shown tremendous dedication and commitment to their students and to science education," noted NTSA President Mary Gromko. "We are so proud to honor them as they help to inspire the next generation of informed citizens, scientists, engineers, and innovators who can embrace all that science can offer."
