Expecting Parents: Claim Your Free Baby Box

The Baby Box Program is a free educational program for new or expecting mothers.  This program is critical in keeping babies safe and it is available to all new mother’s regardless their income. The Baby Box Program is designed to help families make safe and healthy choices for their children by educating them about simple changes that will decrease the risk that a death will occur due to an unsafe sleep environment or sudden infant death syndrome.

New Jersey has become the first state to adopt a broad program to reduce infant deaths by aiming to distribute as many as 105,000 of the so-called baby boxes — the expected number of births in the state this year. Baby boxes, which have a snug-fitting mattress, have been handed out to new parents for decades in Finland, which has one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the world, and less than half that of the United States.

The box is the incentive for the education to prevent newborns death and it comes with Pampers, baby wipes, a onesie, breast-feeding pads and other goodies.

In order to receive a free Baby Box, an expecting or new parent will need to take following 3 steps:
